And the Song asks: “Are you ready for a Miracle?”

Prayer for the Rwandans ~ Day 7

Oppression

O Lord, help the Rwandans to overcome
the oppression they have experienced. Help them to
realize by and through Your strength
they can overcome everything and everyone
who tries to oppress them.

The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble.
Those who know your name will trust in you,
for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.

Psalm 9:9–10

Okay, so how many days left now? Well according to my calculations … “It’s the final count down.”

Was there a miracle today? Well of course there was. There was the miracle of building a relationship with another church organization: Calvary Chapel La Habra. Check out their Web site.

They have a mission project, and are focusing on Rwanda. In fact two of our November teams are going to two of the churches in Calvary Chapel’s Rwanda focus. What if we coordinated our calendars, respected one another’s schedules, and maybe even assisted each other with projects for the Rwandan Churches we had in common?

I’ve got to run now. This mule is only half packed. Tomorrow I expect will be a day of workmates praying for me. It will fortify me for the days to come … I pray for myself and for all my teammates … for an extra portion of WISDOM.

And wisdom right now is telling me to get going and get that extra package of Airborne!

  1. Betty,

I love your blog and will be checking it frequently while you and your team are traveling. All God’s best to each and every one of you as you share the love, hope and peace that only comes with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

    Love in Christ,

    MaryAnn

  2. Thank you so much MaryAnn for your prayers and your love … I am literally on my way to the shower, and then out the door. We fly on the wings of eagles …
