Rwanda Betty is my new name. Why … well, last year September/October 2006, I answered a call, and for the very first time, I crossed the Atlantic Ocean on my way to the little country of Rwanda. This was a country I had read about, I had seen movies about; and this country had somehow touch a soft and tender part of my heart … even my soul.
Originally from New York City, I moved to “sunny” California in 1974, following behind a husband with two stair steps in tow. My first real adventure … new city, new people, new attitudes, new foods; eventually, new offspring, new husband, new friends, new religion … new beginnings. Now 55 years of age … it was time for new focus, new vision, new “purpose.”
For sure God called you and he needs you to do his work in our country Rwanda.May God be with you all the time.
